Appearance
Foxstar is, in short, a beautiful, young she-cat. With the scorching red color of her coat, it isn't surprised she has the name she does, for the color of her coat often reminds many of a fox. The only difference is the stripe pattern that seems to coarse through her fur, which, at times, seem to ripple across her pelt with the aid of movement. Her pelt, specifically, isn't long hair, but rather short hair, so come the summer months, she is cooler than most. When it comes to her build, she has a slim frame, yet it is her small size that enables her to be quick, lithe, which is definitely helpful when it comes to hunting. Her eyes are a striking green, almost bleached to the point where they seem to be grey almost, like the very water of the lake in which the clans surround. Overall, Foxflight is indeed a very beautiful cat, but she has always seemed to hold a terrible strength about her, one that can strike terror into her enemies in the heat of any battle.
Personality
Foxstar, in a nutshell, is headstrong. She rarely leaves an room for argument on anything she ever decides, refusing to back down no matter what the consequences may be. It's just who she is. Some think that such a tendency will be the downfall of her one day, but most times it has been in her favor, especially in battle. But, underneath this stubborn aspect, Foxstar truly does have a head upon her shoulders. She's much more intelligent than most know, and is often quite well when it comes to strategies. She can see multiple outcomes for the problem facing her, and it is because of this that she can often find the right solution. Not only is she intelligent, but she is, for her age, quite wise. Despite her stubborn personality, she knows when to leave a situation when things turn ugly. She has always been able to make the right decision in her life, even the ones in which the outcome has been hurtful. But she knows that sacrifices must be made if it means a better chance for others.
History
A native of ThunderClan, Foxstar was born in the early weeks of Greenleaf, along with three others in her litter. Her parents, both warriors in the clan, were extremely proud at the time, for they had been longing for kits for a long, long while. And they had a right to be proud. Out of the four kits, three were healthy, but the fourth had passed a few days after birth. Her parents mourned the death of the small kit, sadness in their hearts, but they were still happy to have the three remaining kits to call their own.
It was even from day one that Foxstar was as energetic and spastic as any kit, although she seemed to have a bit more spunk in her than most. Like most, she participated in mock fights after seeing the apprentices engage in such activities countless times. Of course there was no real competition then, but she always proclaimed herself the winner, even if she didn't actually win the fight. But it was merely all in good fun, and neither party ever really came away from the play sessions in bad spirits.
Eventually, the day came when Foxstar reached six moons. Excitement rang through the air, for not only did it mean that she would become an apprentice, but her siblings would too. Her brothers seemed to be a little less excited about the ceremony than she, but it was quite obvious they had been looking forward to it as well. So, when it finally came to the time when they officially became apprentices and their mentors were announced, she was practically bouncing around on the inside. But she kept her feelings contained within her until she had reached the apprentice's den, in which she had raced about a few times before she was calm again.
And so it was that the moons passed by, and with each passing day Foxstar became stronger and stronger. She took her training sessions very seriously, and always put her all into each and everyone. Maybe that was the reason for why she excelled past most of her fellow apprentices, for it seemed that she could best them in any mock fight when it came to practicing after a long day of training. But it was these fights that pride was bruised, for now it was merely a test of skill.
She was eleven moons when it happened. She had been out on a routine hunt with her mentor when it appeared. And Foxstar didn't hesitate to attack. She knew the danger the creature presented to her clan, and so she had no problem in battling it in defense of her clan. Of course her mentor followed into the fray after her, but all that rang through the air was the sound of yowling and growls, blood soon littering the forest floor. She battled the creature of her namesake without fear, and so it was that when it came to the final moments of the battle and her mentor was injured, she dealt the death blow without a thought.
Upon returning to camp with her mentor slung across her back, they received the medical care needed from the Medicine Cat, and in about a day's time they were on their feet moving around again. Foxstar was proud of herself for accomplishing such a feat, even if it was with the aid of her mentor. There was obvious envy from her fellow apprentices, but it didn't bother her to much. But it was in reward for her actions that she became a warrior that day.
Ever since then she has served her Clan without hesitation, knowing she would remain loyal until her dying day. Much has changed about her since all those moons ago, for she is no longer the young, energetic she-cat she once was, for she has calmed down a fair amount. She is intelligent in her decisions, careful, and it is because of this that she is known as one of the better warriors in the Clan, just like her days as an apprentice. Of course, most of her fellow apprentices from those days have become warriors as well, and there is rarely any competition that arises between them now, for all Foxstar cares about is defending her clan, even if it means to the death.
It was only recently that the previous Clan Leader, Badgerstar, passed away in defense of fellow clan mates in an unexpected battle against a few rouges who had come into Thunderclan territory, and Foxstar, being the deputy, soon became leader in the following days, and is now striving to lead her Clan to the best of her abilities, not wanting the memory of Badgerstar to be put to shame.
