elmstripe
male | thunderclan | thirty nine moons | warrior
[/center]
Appearance
Elmstripe is a short furred cat. His pelt is a peach hue with some flecks of white. Tiny, dark orange stripes run around the majority of his body but are most predominant on his face. Two stripes slash across both sides of his face and four smaller stripes mark his forehead. The area around his nose is white along with the area around his eyes. The tom, although attractive, has big ears compared to the rest of his body with little tufts at the top. He also has large paws and quite a long tail. His eyes are rather peculiar. They’re a faint russet hue along his pupil but then it becomes pale green. Elmstripe’s body is masculine but he’s not the largest tom in all of Thunderclan.
Personality
blunt – loyal – quiet – intelligent – stern – rational – condescending
quiet || the tom doesn’t enjoy small talk. he sees that there is no point to it and therefore if he participates in it he’s just wasting his time. however he will speak his mind (and he won’t beat around the bush about it) and get to the core of things. the tom is tidy and speak in a curt manner. he doesn’t waste his breath on trivial things. yet if someone goes to him for advice he will be more than happy to oblige.
stern || he values the warrior code above all else and he expects everyone else to abide by it. the rules are put in place for a reason and if they’re not enforced there will be complete anarchy. therefore he has a no tolerance rule when it comes to breaking the code or bending the rules. in this regard he does not choose favorites and will punish anyone who does not stick to the code—however his ruling usually doesn’t exceed above the rank of apprentices. even kittens who dare to adventure out of camp will be scolded by this warrior. but he isn’t always so uptight. kittens are the tom’s soft spot but he will never admit it. and the spot isn’t so soft that he dreams of having them. he is more focused on becoming a leader rather than a follower.
intellectual || the tom does not have a whole lot of creativity and tends to think things through in a rational sense. he does not appreciate obscene behavior, pranks, or any sort of profane humor. he may crack a grin if a joke is witty but other than that he’s a bit of a stiff. conversation on a high intellectual scale are welcomed otherwise he doesn’t partake in ‘frou-frou’ conversation. because of his intellectual personality the tom is rather arrogant and stubborn. he had a hard time admitting he’s wrong about anything and even if he is he’ll defend his theory until his opponent gives in.
History
when the tom was younger he wasn’t favored alongside felines his own age. he was blunt about his thoughts and feelings which sent quite a few she-cats off crying. in all honesty he didn’t think he had done anything wrong, especially if said she-cat had asked his opinion. he didn’t see the point in lying to his clan mates and so he always spoke the truth without sugar coating anything. what was there to be learned or gained if he laced everything with honey? so his clan mates that were around his age didn’t appreciate him and a lot of them made him their enemies. the few who did talk with him was his sister who could hold her own in a conversation and a tom that elmstripe did not enjoy. the tom would babble on about nothing and assumed they were friends for reasons elmstripe couldn’t even fathom. he was sure the tom was brain-dead otherwise he would have split from him long ago, especially with his slap stick humor (elmstripe cannot stand such absurdity).
however, even though he was unpopular among felines his age his elders appreciated him. the tom listened to direction and didn’t get into quarrels all that often. he had work ethic, much more than the majority of the apprentices he ‘graduated’ with. his sister was also very hard working and they tended to be together a lot of the time during training. she would always roll her eyes at him when other she-cats came around, vying for his attention. he couldn’t understand why the liked to flock around him especially the unattractive ones—and he felt free to tell that to their faces. he practically had to beat the she-cats with a stick to get rid of them and then a new flood of them try to swamp him. his beginning to understand the meaner he is to them the more they want him—the logic exceeds him.
then came the day when he became a warrior. he was proud to bear his new name, “Elmstripe.” that pride had never worn away, if anything it has gotten worse with age.
