"A tramp, a gentleman, a poet, a dreamer, a lonely fellow, always hopeful of romance and adventure."

Appearance
Zerotail's fur is a collaboration of white and black. Small white furs intersperse through his black patches, giving him the appearance of an older cat than he really is. He has a black spot on both of his sides, about an inch away from the rest of the black parts of his body. His legs and paws are all white and his eyes are a clear gold color.
His most distinguishing feature is his tail - or rather, lack of one. He was born with a small bob as his tail, but he likes this about himself and isn't concerned about any lack of balance he may have/will come across.
Personality
Zero is an easygoing, laid back cat with a natural affinity for adventure. He is very content with nature but hates to be locked up in one place for very long. Naturally, he spends most of his time on the go, often being the first cat to offer his services on a patrol or to go out and gather something for the medicine cats, elders, apprentices, or kits. He has a soft spot for the younger cats and might give them help in their duties. He loves taking care of others and he has a very youthful, innocent side. He is also very unperturbed by his lack of tail, but he is sensitive about it and will turn on anyone who makes a rude comment about it.
Nonetheless, his adventurous nature makes things difficult for him to stay in his own territory and he has the sometimes annoying habit of sneaking out in the dead of night to explore the area. He is on good terms with loners and oftentimes he can get information WindClan might need by talking to them. However, this same relationship sometimes blurs the lines of his loyalty in the eyes of other warriors, putting him in suspicion with some of his clanmates.
History
Zero was born to Rozu and Nera, two loners living in a forest. He had two sisters named Petra and Hona, and Zero was the youngest. He was taught how to hunt and fight by his father, while his mother taught the she-cats how to make dens and distinguish herbs from each other, in case they'd need to know about medicine in the future. Zero liked hunting and fighting well enough, but what he truly loved to do was track. Rozu, however, thought tracking to be a useless skill and never taught his son anything about it.
Most nights, Zero taught himself how to track when everyone was asleep. He tracked prey, scent trails that led to nowhere, and often times wandering far from home so that he had to race the sunrise to get back. With his tracking habits came the untameable urge to explore. He loved going deep into the woodlands he lived in, discovering new sights and coming across wonderful things like a bird's nest laden with eggs, a stream with fish in it, and a circle of stones that just seemed too deliberate to be an accident, even though it was.
One night, Rozu couldn't sleep and he followed his son on one of his late-night excursions. When he realized what he was doing, Rozu wasn't very happy, but he was a mature adult cat and respected his son's taste in hobbies. Even so, after he was found out Zero and Rozu's relationship seemed to grow more strained. Zero didn't seem to mind, really, but Rozu never offered to take him hunting or fighting anymore. Petra, Hona, and Nera were uncomfortable with the silence most days.
It went on like this for many moons until the day the kits passed their fifteenth. Zero had grown tired of exploring the forest as he had essentially seen, heard, smelled, touched, and experienced everything the wood had to offer. Looking for adventure, he left home and headed out on his own.
He explored many areas, from dense woodland to abandoned battlegrounds, to dry fields and abundant rivers. His explorations gave him three more moons of experience until the one day when he followed a river into a new area, smelling of many cats. Excited, he ventured further into this new place and found that there were four distinct territories here: moorland, woodland, dense woodland, and riverbank. He had explored woodlands and rivers before, but never a moorland, them being scarce in this area.
He headed towards the moorland first until he was stopped by a strange cat. He was demanded of his name, “Zero.” The cat made a remark about his bobtail and brought him back to his home, which was called “WindClan.” Zero shared that he was a good tracker and decent at hunting and fighting and he was taken into the clan and given a new name: Zerotail.
