Crouching low, tail tip flicking slowly with each thought that crosses her mind Jaydapple watched the vole scuffle along the earth, searching for seeds and other tasty treats. She felt bad taking the life of a creature that was probably trying to feed its own family, yet her clan had to be fed as well. The warm green leaf sun poked through the branches of the high trees, splotches of sun making the ground appear golden. Muscles bunching, the warrior exploded forth claws out stretched, aiming for the spinal column of the prey. Sharp canines, designed for hunting made contact with its destination. Lifting her muzzle, tongue swiped around her jowls, noticing the clean bite. Eyes closed she thanked Starclan for the prey, lifting it gently to take it towards her other pile. Moving the earth she added the small vole to her other kills, burying it to continue hunting.
The slender tabby she-cat moved towards a taller evergreen hoping for a bird or two. If there was one thing she enjoyed more than hunting it was climbing trees. Jaydapple thrived in her hunting moments, her solace. The tabby she-cat had few friends, one or two she considered good friends, Breezepaw the medicine cat apprentice and Rainwhisker the deputy were the only two she spoke with on a regular basis. While wishing she was more social, a cat others flocked to Jaydapple was not. It was not in her nature to be social, even as a kit she was not.
Gazing up at the tree claws slid out as hind legs bunched limbs exploding again as she climbed expertly up the tree to the lowest branch. Grinning she looked down, then back up to the next limb, leaping up. Spying the pigeon she stalked forth, thanking Starclan for the wind blowing towards her. Leaping she ended the prey's life quickly. Sighing happily she climbed down, limbs spread apart allowing herself to move down the tree. Touching the earth again she went back to her pile, noticing a patch of sunlight drowning it. Burying the pigeon the tabby she-cat crouched down, lowering herself as tongue exposed grooming herself. While Jaydapple may not be the most social, she was at least determined to look good. Warmth enveloped the she-cat, as she began dozing off. Gentle green blades made a soft nest for the she-cat, the forest a better companion than many for her.
